Martin Luther King Jr is attributed as saying "Faith is taking the first step when you can't see the whole staircase." Sometimes taking that first step, like calling or emailing a therapist you've never met, is a bit daunting. But what might happen if you give it a try? I'm open-minded, non-judgemental and ready to hear all about what's going on with you and your family. Together we can work through your issues and discover ways to relieve your stress, guilt, anxiety, dissappoinments and discouragement in your personal life and relationships.
I use a mixture of modalities in treatment including Acceptance and Committment Therapy, Family Systems perspective and an interpersonal style that fits the needs of my clients. I have experience with marriage and family, pre marriage, men's issues, career and life transitions.
I draw on extensive experience as a non-profit executive with organizations such as Focus on the Family, Medical Teams International, Partners International and CRISTA Ministries and from personal life experience including growing up in a single parent home, raising a special needs child and being married for 31+ years

We have but one life, live it to the fullest. As a counselor for nearly 20 years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people and helping them through many issues. I have extensive background treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, pain management, grief and loss as well as marriage, family and parenting challenges. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Supervisor in the State of Idaho. I have also held license in Washington and Colorado. As a professional career woman, wife and mother (including a special needs adult son), I am particularly in tune with issues women like me face. Sometimes the role is tough and it can wear us down. Why struggle alone? I can take the journey with you.
I am a multi-sports fanatic who loves spending time with my family and exploring the great State of Idaho.

I believe that every individual has been created with intrinsic value and unique purpose. We were meant to live whole, integrated, and connected lives that flourish. But painful or traumatic life experiences can diminish us over time, pulling us away from who we were created to be, often wreaking havoc with our minds, bodies, emotions, and relationships in the process. If you are weary of merely surviving and desire to truly thrive, I want to remind you that you are not alone and that there is hope. There is a path that has led to the place you are now, and there is a different path forward that leads to healing and wholeness. I look forward to partnering with you on that journey.
I have over twenty years of experience in working with teens and adults in various settings. I specialize in treating grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I offer primarily individual counseling, but do work with couples occasionally, and with families as needed to support teens.
I specialize in integrating both theological and psychological perspectives, utilizing evidence-based modalities to help you experience a renewed mindset, deeper meaning, greater vitality, and reconnection to the person you were created to be.
I have lived in Idaho with my husband and three children for over 26 years. I love the outdoors and highly encourage my clients towards "recreation in creation" ~ the best way I know to naturally relieve stress and restore balance to our lives.

It is such pleasure to meet you! I have had the honor of working in the anti-trafficking movement as an ally for over eight years. I hold a Professional Certification in Trauma & Resilience from Florida State University and a Bachelors in Communications from Texas A&M University. After working with trafficking survivors in Southeast Asia for 5 years, I began to pursue my Master's degree at Northwest Nazarene University to study the impact of trauma and grief as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Now, I am a Therapist-in-training committed to seeing lives transformed & empowered through compassionate care. My passion lies in helping people not just survive what they're going through, but thrive. I have personal experience with sudden grief and loss. My approach integrates lenses of trauma, relational connections to others, and how the brain works. I am committed to empowering my clients through counseling that is non-judgemental and authentic. I really believe that mental health is the health of the whole person!
